Why Do Playgrounds Require Specialized Flooring Materials?

The ground of children’s playgrounds endures frequent impacts from running, jumping, falling and sliding every day. According to statistics from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), around 60% of playground injuries are caused by insufficient ground cushioning. Ordinary grass may look natural, yet its firmness depends on soil condition and grass density. It can turn extremely hard in dry weather and muddy after rain. High-quality artificial turf drains thoroughly and dries within half an hour after rainfall, so outdoor activities will not be disrupted by standing water. Therefore, choosing professional playground flooring is a responsible decision in terms of safety, hygiene and practicality.
