1. Ground Preparation
- Excavate the field area 10–20 cm deep.
- Create slope/drainage base (usually 0.5–1% slope for water runoff).
- Add base layer: Compact 10–15 cm of crushed stone or road base.
- Level & compact it using a plate compactor.
2. Optional: Install Shock Pad
- For professional or high-use fields, roll out shock pad underlayment for extra player safety.
3. Roll Out Turf
- Lay out turf rolls according to your field layout.
- Ensure pile direction is consistent for all rolls (they must face the same way).
- Leave rolls exposed to sun for a few hours to let them relax.
4. Joint the Seams
- Fold turf edges back.
- Lay seaming tape centered along the joint.
- Apply turf adhesive evenly.
- Press turf edges firmly together and walk over the seam to ensure bond.
5. Cut and Fit
- Trim excess turf around borders, goalposts, and corner areas.
- Ensure corners and lines are clean and straight.
6. Add White Lines (if not pre-stitched)
- Cut lines precisely from white turf rolls.
- Glue them into pre-cut grooves using the same seam tape and adhesive method.
7. Infill (if required)
- Spread silica sand and/or rubber granules evenly across turf surface.
- Use a drop spreader or infill machine for even distribution.
- Brush the turf fibers upright using a power broom or stiff brush.
8. Final Grooming
- Brush the turf again to ensure all fibers stand upright.
- Inspect seams and corners.
- Make sure infill is evenly spread and the surface is level.
